iNSURGENTS

LENNY was born on January 11th, in 1986 in Vienna/Austria. Since the day of birth he has been stuck in the middle of the City; right in 1040 (the smallest but one of the most cultural districts in Vienna). Since his early youth he has been fascinated by Hip-Hop Music and its use. The very first Hip-Hop/Rap like music he ever heard was Mike Krueger and Karl Darl. They where followed by Die Fantastischen Vier, a.k.a FANTA4 since the new Millennium. His musical orientations have moved from German Hip-Hop to US Hip-Hop, but also into Blues/Jazz (favourite Blues/Jazz-Artist: Frank Sinatra) and to Reggae/Dancehall-Music. His interests in these musical genres has resulted in him writing (social critical) lyrics, typical to those genres. Lenny is a very audiovisual person. Each spoken/heard Lyric has to create a concrete image of actions in listeners/readers mind. Some people would say that Lenny is a real Punctilious Bastard. (Some people are right) Once he has a clear frame of mind, he is able to see the smoke and the dust, and once he has focused that smoke and dust, he can see right through it. Understanding this will help understand the mental sickness that is Lenny! Comment: In times of war, people would kill their selves for freedom!

CK came from Scotland and trained in music from a very early age. Finding the bass at the age of 15 however changed everything. Progressing rapidly he was soon touring with bands and sitting in on sessions for numerous bands and artists. With his two albums he crossed many genres with help from a lot of his musical friends. Going from chilled instrumentals to experimental rock to comedy to hip hop and back again his music has something for everyone. From Scotland he travelled to China to work with the band Mind the Gap and after one year he's now residing in Vienna, Austria. Teaching privately, constantly composing and making moves within the jam scene around the city his unique style and attitude will continue to grow for a long time yet.

Germar had the pleasure of playing with some notorious punk & ska outfits during his highschool years ("Psycho 78", "All You Can Eat", "Nihilistic Hate") and never really recovered from it. He spent the last couple of years playing bass for the "Beefcakesuckers", aswell as working together with various rappers in Vienna as a sound engineer for live gigs and recording, mixing and mastering their tracks in my homestudio. In 2005, he did a stint filling in on bass / guitar / vox for his brothers band "Contra" (Aberdeen, UK) on their album "Disenfranchised". Over the new year period of 2007/2008, he recorded 6 songs with Gerold, Gabriel @ Brainfragment Records in Vienna. For lack of a better name, they called the side project "CODENAME: G3". As of 2009, he also sings for the ROOTS GORILLAZ.
